Notable performances: His notable achievements include: calling a peal of Stedman Cinques at Exeter Cathedral with an all West country band; ringing in the first peals of Cambridge Surprise Royal and Maximus for the Llandaff Association; ringing 7-8 to Holts original, silent and non-conducted on handbells for the College Youths (8.11.1941); conducting the first peal of Stedman Cinques by a Sunday service band at St Mary Redcliffe (22.5.1948); conducting the first 12 bell peal in Wales (Stedman Cinques at St Woolos Cathedral, Newport, 30.11.1948).
