This combined index contains names of ringers from published notices and obituaries, researched biographies, accounts of prolific peal ringers and Rolls of Honour. As each data source can contain the same person, we found many duplicates, some of which still need to be identified and de-duplicated. Also, the original obituaries list contained multiple entries for the same person relating to different publications. A few of these still need to be resolved. Also, names change and there is the occasional mis-spelling to be tidied up.
This page will lead you to 16,921 references to 13,675 ringers.
Like all such datasets, this is a Work in Progress. It contains more detail and features than previously published lists and there are more features being developed. If you find any errors or omissions please feel free to get in touch with us.
