This resource consists of an amalgamation of lists from various sources. These were previously made available on the Central Council web site in multiple locations. this database version is a combination of:

• The Bellringers Obituaries index was originally compiled by John Eisel and Chris Ridley with additional material from Alan Ellis
• The Central Council Rolls of Honour
• Biographies of Central Council members compiled by the Biographies Committee
• Prolific Peal Ringers articles written by Bill Butler
• Additional obituaries in current copies of The Ringing World

In combining these sources we are able to de-duplicate records, verify what is in the various versions and fill in gaps.

With the end of the Biographies committee it has become necessary to re-consider how this resource should be maintained and built up. The current process identifies obituaries that have already been written and sets up links to pdf copies of publications. This removes the limitation of focussing on Central Council members only but still requires a bit of work.
