In 1951 he was appointed the first Ringing Master of Liverpool Cathedral and was responsible for all ringing there, including the opening of the bells by Her Majesty the Queen. Before the Cathedral's bells were installed he was Ringing Master at Liverpool Parish Church for over 15 years. |
